It’s fair to say it’s been a dreadful month or so for Louis van Gaal and Manchester United.
The club exited the Champions League with a 3-2 defeat to Wolfsburg at the start of December, haven’t won in their last seven games in all competitions, and lost their fourth match in a row at Stoke on Boxing Day.
With speculation growing that Van Gaal could hand in his resignation if United lose to Chelsea on Monday, this tweet neatly lists the unwanted records the Dutchman will be hoping to avoid.
Some Utd stats. Last time lost 5 on trot in all comps: Nov/Dec 1936. 8 without win: Nov/Jan 88/90. Lost 4 on trot in league: Dec/Feb 78/79.

Last time Man United failed to win in 7 games:
• Premier League didn't exist
• AC Milan were European champions
• David de Gea wasn't born— Squawka (@Squawka) December 27, 2015
Indeed, should United stumble to another loss at Old Trafford, the club’s 2015/16 campaign could begin to look even more shambolic than David Moyes’ ill-fated reign two years ago.
