There’s a notable absentee from Lionel Messi’s massive jersey collection

Some collection

SportsJOE

Lionel Messi has shown off his incredible jersey collection.

The Barcelona genius appears to a room dedicated to shirts he swapped with players throughout his career.

Messi has shirts on all walls, and even has some in the floor and as part of the ceiling.

He has a jersey belonging to Pablo Aimar, his favourite player growing up, Cesc Fabregas, one of his oldest friends and former Barcelona teammate, and Sergio Aguero, the Manchester City striker and another of his close friends.

There are jerseys from legends of the game such as Phillip Lahm, Francesco Totti and err, West Ham’s Manuel Lanzini.

A lot of the tops belong to Messi’s teammates at club and international level from the past and present.

Shirts from Argentine internationals Angel di Maria, Diego Milito and Ezequiel Lavezzi can be seen, as can jerseys from Luis Suarez, Dani Alves and Gerard Pique.

However, there’s one notable absentee from the jersey collection, Messi’s great rival Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Real Madrid forward’s jersey doesn’t feature in the collection, but Messi does have jerseys belonging to his former teammates Raul and Iker Casillas.

No sign of an Ireland or Celtic jersey in there either, despite Messi have come across the two sides several times during his playing career.

We bet there is a separate room dedicated to Robbie Keane, Fraser Forster & co.

Messi meets Robbie Keane at the Aviva Stadium in 2010.
