The list of candidates for Chelsea boss is a real departure for the club

No big-name manager getting tempted in by mega-bucks.

It looks likely that Guus Hiddink will indeed exit stage left at the end of this 2015/16 season with Chelsea.

The Blues will thank the Dutchman kindly for his services in May and look to install a new boss on a three-year deal.

The list of candidates to step into the permanent role that Jose Mourinho “mutually” vacated, earlier this season, is somewhat suprising.

The Telegraph is reporting that Bournemouth’s Eddie Howe is in the running for the top job. Added to that, the Blues are also feeling out whether Claudio Ranieri would be interested in returning to Stamford Bridge.

Howe has done wonders with the Cherries while Ranieri’s Leicester City sit atop the Premier League.

The list of potential replacements is a lengthy one, however. The Independent maintain that Spurs gaffer Mauricio Pochettino remains Chelsea’s No.1 target despite the protests from their London neighbours.

The search does not stop at Spurs’ door, at least not according to The Guardian. They believe Stoke boss Mark Hughes is being seriously considered to return to the club he once played for in a managerial role.

There you have it – four current Premier League bosses who’s agents are all being sounded out for a move to the Bridge. That should ruffle some feathers.
