Scenes.
San Marino are a side we only know too well in these parts having faced them in a few football qualifiers over the years.
But even when they scored against us in 2007 we didn’t see celebrations like this.
The tiny tiny country endured a hammering by England at the weekend but tonight they are holding onto a 1-1 draw with Lithunaia thanks to a wonderful free-kick.
Their last away goals came against Liechtenstein in a 2-2 draw in an international friendly in 2003, while they haven’t scored a competitive away goal since a 1-1 draw with Latvia in 2001.
As befitting a team that hasn’t hit the net in over 12 years away from home, the celebrations were pretty wild tonight

The San Marino Twitter account’s reaction was something else too
The rest of the internet also loved it

The fairytale may have come to an end though as Lithuania may just have scored the winner and now lead 2-1.
Lithuania get a 92nd minute winner against San Marino!
Gutted. Feel so sorry for San Marino. So unlucky.
