Rapper confirms Pogba to Manchester United… then quickly deletes the video

It must be a done deal...

Ben Kenyon

The £100m transfer of Paul Pogba to Manchester United must SURELY be over the line now.

It’s been football’s worst kept secret for some months now – except that whole time that Jose Mourinho was coming to United long before the club announced it.

But it seems like we’ve reached end game in another ludicrously protracted transfer saga with Pogba flying in to have a medical with the club.

But if club officials hoped they might be able to break the story rather than the players themselves (we’re looking at you Ibrahimovic) or just some complete randomers, they had another thing coming.

First we had three woman tweeted out from a Manchester launderette pretty much announcing the signing of the French star before the club, the sponsors or the player himself.

But now there’s been another chink of light which shows we must be there with the Pogba deal…almost.

London MC and United fan Stormzy has appeared in another adidas video with 23-year-old French midfield maestro (after the earlier one a few weeks ago which pretty much confirmed the deal).

The rapper dropped the video on his Facebook then quickly deleted it, not before someone could copy the clip though.

Yes it’s the worst kept secret in football. Yes it’s probably a cynical marketing ploy to get maximum hype and exposure. But we can’t help being excited and a little relieved he could finally be here…

Many United fans were buzzing about the news – others were just weirded out that the biggest signing in their history was announced by some laundry ladies and a grime MC in a music video…
