Not all haircuts are created equal.
Some deserve to be highlighted more than others. We don’t think we’re doing the public a disservice by showcasing a new do from a footballer who spent most of his career owning the definitive nondescript haircut.
For as long as we can remember, Reid has had a buzz-cut hairstyle.
Here he is in 1999, one year after he turned professional with Millwall.
Here’s the former Republic of Ireland international in 2014, his retirement season with Burnley.
Notice much of a difference?
Flash forward three years to 2017, where Reid is now working with Reading as a first team coach. This summer shall henceforth be referred to as the one where Steven Reid finally acquired a new haircut.
It’s different, it’s bold, it’s (insert appropriate synonym here), but most of all, it’s a Mohican or ‘mohawk’ as the kids presumably no longer call it nowadays.

The best reaction of all came from the barbers tagged in Reid’s tweet. They seemed genuinely worried about what Reid has done to his head.
Mate are you alright? ?
