Steven Gerrard slags Leicester City and possibly Robbie Keane during interview with young fan

Zinedine Zidane. There are worse footballing role models.

Steven Gerrard offered himself up – with some cajoling from LA Galaxy’s automotive sponsors – to be interviewed by a six-year-old fan as he jetted around Los Angeles.

The former Liverpool midfielder comes across very well in the video and jokes light-heartedly with the young pup.

During one exchange, Gerrard tells the want-away Galaxy youngster to consider a move to Liverpool or Barcelona. “You don’t want to go to Leicester,” he remarks. “They’re crap.”

Gerrard makes two references to his Galaxy teammate, and Irish goal-monger Robbie Keane. After revealing that Zidane was his favourite player growing up, he names the world’s current top three as ‘Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and… Robbie Keane’.

Slightly more believable is Gerrard referring to Keane as a Galaxy legend.

We’d like to believe Keane really is in Stevie G’s top three. Makes perfect sense to us.
