Many more to follow, we’d wager.
Houston Dash, this is what you gave up.
Irish striker Stephanie Roche scored her first goal for Sunderland Ladies, last night, and it was a humdinger.
The 2014 Puskás Award nominee scored her side’s fourth goal in a comprehensive, 5-2 win over Everton.
As per Sunderland’s official website, ‘Roche will remember her first goal for the club for a long time – a fine rising drive from the left-hand angle of the penalty area which arrowed over the goalkeeper.’
I kid you not. @StephanieRoche9 has just nearly broken the net with her first goal for the Ladies. Hammered in with her left foot. Wow.

The win is Sunderland’s sixth in a row and their second in the Continental Tyres Cup.
Roche set up Beth Mead for her second goal, which made it 2-1, in the first half and sealed the result with her thunderbolt.
Post-match, Roche tweeted her delight at opening her account with the Lady Black Cats.
5-2 winners tonight v @EvertonLadiesFc Another good team performance and I'm delighted to say I scored my first goal for @SAFCLadies 😁⚽️❤️
