Vladimir Weiss is getting the trash-talk going early.
The outspoken Slovakia winger has fired the first shot in jest as his side prepare to take on the Republic of Ireland in the Aviva Stadium on Tuesday night.
Weiss, who you may remember from spells at Manchester City and Rangers, has warned the FAI that they’d better have UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor in attendance for the game.

Presumably, the 26-year-old is jokingly claiming that Martin O’Neill’s men would need a powerhouse like ‘The Notorious’ to get past Slovakia.
And the FAI took it all in their stride.
Always ready! You never know what surprises we'll spring! #ReflectingTheRising #COYBIG https://t.co/aYMYIbdokR
