Tim doesn’t know what to think about Jack Grealish.
The Aston Villa manager is a huge fan of his young winger but admits that there are times when Grealish’s decision-making irritates him.
Grealish brought some unneeded bad press on Villa when he was pictured looking worse for wear while on holiday in Tenerife and Sherwood wasn’t happy with the 19 year old’s antics.
“I will back him 100%, he is such a talented boy,” said Sherwood.
“I love him to death and I hate him at the same time! I want to nurture him to fulfil his full potential.
“He did annoy me in the summer, but he annoyed himself. Hopefully the penny has dropped with him.
“Young kids make mistakes. But they come through it. He is a one-off – and he is a one-off on the pitch.
“He has come through it and we need to move on now.”
Irish fans are less forgiving and patient as they want Grealish to decide on his international future sooner rather than later as the youngster has recently requested more time to make up his mind on whether to declare for England or the Republic of Ireland.
