Samuel Eto’o’s Sampdoria career may be over after just six days

Reports from Italy say the striker stormed out of training earlier today

Samuel Eto’o only signed for Sampdoria last week.

But the striker has already jeopardised his future with the club. Eto’o reportedly stormed out the club earlier today after refusing to take part in a double training session.

The former Barcelona and Chelsea striker made his debut as a second half substitute in yesterday’s a 5-1 loss against Torino. The disappointing result prompted Sampdoria coach Sinisa Mihajlovic to schedule double training sessions for the squad all this week, however, Eto’o doesn’t do double sessions.

The Cameroonian refused to train, storming out of the club’s training complex, without notifying his manager and placing his future at the club in doubt. The 33 year old had spent four months at Everton, who cancelled his contact to allow him to join the Serie A side and has (so far) had ten clubs in total during his career.
