Roy Keane attempted to confront Tom Cleverley at his home over Villa bust-up rumours

The last man you want to see on your porch

We can think of very few more terrifying experiences than looking through a peephole only to see a re-bearded Roy Keane “furiously pressing the doorbell”.

According to The Sun this morning, the Ireland number 2 showed up at Tom Cleverley’s gaff during the week to have a word with the Manchester United midfielder, who is on loan at Aston Villa.

Keane thought the 25-year-old was to blame for the rumours that he had a bust-up with Villa players before leaving his post as Paul Lambert’s assistant last month.

According to the article, “The Irishman wanted answers from the on-loan Manchester United midfielder about reports that the training-ground row caused his departure.

“Keane waited impatiently outside for around 15 minutes but no one answered and he eventually stomped off.”

CCTV footage exists of the former United captain pacing around outside Cleverley’s house and we’d pay our entire salary for a quick glimpse at it.

Apparently, Keane wanted to know who was behind the talk that he had been involved in a heated row with players such as Gabby Agbonlahor at Villa’s Bodymoor Heath training ground.

The Sun reports that the 43-year-old is happy enough now that Cleverley’s not to blame but, if we were Villa players, we’d be splashing out on some high-level security in the coming weeks.
