Seamus Coleman is likely to miss Sunday’s Premier League clash with Sunderland.
The Everton defender has been struck down by illness all week and though he has come through the other side, Roberto Martinez does not presume he will be 100% fit in time for the encounter with the Black Cats.
Martinez said, “Seamus couldn’t be involved [in the League Cup win over Norwich] on Tuesday and, at the moment, has a huge question mark over him for the weekend.
“He has a stomach bug. Nothing too serious but he has obviously lost a lot of weight. He’s going to take a bit of time [to recuperate] but Sunday may be too soon.
While the news is not what Toffess supporters want to hear, Irish fans should not fear too much about his Euro 2016 Play-off prospects.
