A seven-word tweet has seen Rio Ferdinand enter into a lot of Manchester United fans’ bad books.
The United legend angered a lot of Red Devils supporters on Monday by revealing that he got in contact with Arsene Wenger back in 2014, just after he finished his tenure at Old Trafford.
United decided not to offer him a contract extension which brought an end to his 12-season career with the club which left him playing the transfer market as a free agent.
He eventually ended up at Queens Park Rangers, but not before testing the waters with one of the club’s fiercest rivals, even though his original answer was clearly a sly dig at Arsenal’s horrendous injury record.
I did reach out to Mr Wenger!! https://t.co/8jcm4JJbPj

Unsurprisingly, the fans have not been reacting too well to Ferdinand trying to join the enemy.
