REVEALED: Memphis Depay held nothing back with what he said to RVP in training ground spat

That whole 'respect your elders' adage doesn't apply to footballers apparently.

We all remember the training ground bust-up that Memphis Depay had with Robin van Persie in October, right? Well new details have emerged from the spat that took place during the Netherlands squad's preparation for their Euro 2016 qualifier with Kazakhstan. The back-and-forth between the pair resulted in one of the most devastating comebacks we've ever heard and it's very much Depay 1 RvP 0, if true. Dutch magazine Voetbal International outline what happened and they report that, rather than play an unmarked Van Persie through on goal, Depay attempted a backheel pass to Jairo Riedewald. "Do you think you're a big boy?" Van Persie is reported to have asked Depay, angrily. "Do big boys play at Fenerbahce then?" came the reply from a sharp-tongued Depay.
