Aston Villa’s character may be about to become “outstanding.”
Reports in today’s Mirror claim that current Villa boss Tim Sherwood must guide the club to at least one win in their next two Premier League outings if he is to save his job.
Villa currently find themselves in the relegation zone with only one victory to their name all season and the report states that Sherwood could be axed by the end of the month if results don’t go his way.
And who’s being tipped to replace him? None other than Brendan Rodgers.
Rodgers was sacked by Liverpool just hours after last weekend’s Merseyside derby but could find himself back in a Premier League dugout sooner than expected if Tim’s tactics don’t come good.
It’s understood that the former Reds boss is very high up on Villa owner Randy Lerner’s list of replacements as the Birmingham club look for more stability than in their previous four seasons when they finished 16th, 15th, 15th and 17th.
