REPORT: Manchester City to pay huge chunk of Joe Hart’s wages IF an English club would kindly take him

What a nice bunch

Don’t say I never gave you anything…

Pep Guardiola clearly wants shot of Joe Hart.

How did the press learn that Hart would be dropped for Manchester City’s league opener on the Friday night before the game? How did they also know that he was willing to fight for his spot but would be willing to move to another Champions League-competing side?

Guardiola doesn’t fancy Hart as a sweeper keeper and he could do without the leaks too.

City have brought in Claudio Bravo for £17m and Guardiola is happy with the three other back-up options in his senior and academy squad, including Ireland’s Ian Lawlor. Hart will be allowed to leave and City would accept a decent loan offer at this stage.

The only problem is, no-one seems over keen on the England No.1. Leicester City, Arsenal, and Tottenham appear content with their lot, Manchester United have David De Gea, Chelsea are well stacked and Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is happy with his lot. Even Everton Ronald Koeman says he has ‘no interest’ in bringing Hart in.

The only club making noises, through the press, with five days left in the transfer window are David Moyes’ Sunderland. Vito Mannone has been ruled out for three months with an elbow injury and the Sunderland Echo report that inquiries have been made.

Hart may not be overly keen on a return to this particular former club but he will need regular football to hold onto his England No.1 spot.

Entirely sound, then, that City are willing to pay up to three quarters of his weekly wage for the next season.

The Mirror is reporting that City will pay £90,000 of Hart’s £120,000 wage just to have him play his football somewhere else.

Surely a leading team in Europe will jump at the chance to get Hart in nets for £30k a week.
