If anyone can, Andre Kan…chelskis.
Derry City, brace yourselves.
It seems that Andrei Kanchelskis is looking for a job in Ireland and he has applied to be the next manager of Derry City.
The Irish Mirror are reporting that the former Russia international has thrown his hat into the ring to replace Peter Hutton as permanent manager at the Brandywell.
Paul O’Hehir broke the news on Sunday afternoon about the Ukranian’s interest in the League of Ireland gig, as a means to break into management in England.

Kanchelskis’ last job was with Latvian club FC Jūrmala from which he departed after being relegated.
And, if that wasn’t a glowing enough reference, the 46-year-old would also face stiff competition from current caretaker boss Paul Hegarty who has turned the fortunes of the Candy Stripes around since the dismissal of Peter Hutton.
So even in the wake of Andrei’s interest, it will be interesting to see what the club do – especially after money they invested during the brief Roddy Collins era of 2014.
Kanchelskis v Hegarty. At long last.
