Rangers striker Kenny Miller has been arrested in connection with an incident which allegedly took place just hours after the first Old Firm Derby of the season.
The former Scotland international, who also played for Celtic earlier in his career, was reported to the country’s procurator fiscal following an incident at Da Luciano, an Italian restaurant in Bothwell, South Lanarkshire.
“A 36-year-old man has been arrested and is subject of a report to the procurator fiscal in connection with this incident,” a police spokeswoman is quoted as saying by STV.
The broadcaster also cites a spokesman for the Crown Office, who states that the report “remains under consideration.”

Miller played 63 minutes in the Old Firm game on September 10, which Celtic won by five goals to one.
He is currently in his second spell with Rangers, having spent the 2000/01 season with the club, and has 69 Scotland caps to his name.
The Gers are currently fifth in the Scottish Premiership, four points behind their Glasgow rivals, who have a game in hand.
The two clubs have been drawn together in the semi-finals of the League Cup, with the match due to be held in the week of October 22, while their next league meeting will take place at Ibrox on New Year’s Eve.
