Who’s laughing now?
Andy Halliday was having great craic tonight, celebrating a Rangers goal and appeared to be rubbing it in the noses of the Morton fans in attendance
The Rangers midfielder had just watched his teammate Billy McKay put the Scottish Championship side 2-0 up, and seemingly took great pleasure in taunting the opposition supporters, pumping his fist and gesturing towards the home support.
His fun didn’t last long though.
The referee wasn’t happy with Halliday’s antics and quickly showed him a second yellow card, prompting shock and anger amongst the Rangers players and staff.
And undoubted laughs amongst the Morton fans.
It’s rare to see a player be sent-off for such an act, so it may yet be overturned on appeal.
If the club decide to appeal his suspension, and it fails, at least he can take some time off and go on a Halliday.
