Ramiro Funes Mori has apologised to Divock Origi.
The Liverpool striker was stretchered off after a nasty challenge during Wednesday’s 4-0 hammering of Everton.
Funes Mori caught the Belgian dangerously on the ankle but, although there were no breaks, it’s suspected that Origi has suffered ligament damage.
“The ankle is twisted so we have to wait to see what happens to the ligaments,” Jurgen Klopp said.

The defender misses the weekend’s FA Cup semi-final clash now with suspension but the ramifications could be a lot worse for Divock Origi who has hit a rich run of form to match Liverpool’s upturn in fortunes.
And Funes Mori has sent the striker his best wishes and explained that it was never his intention to harm anyone.

It was a decent apology but there was no explanation for his crest-grabbing antics afterwards.
