PIC: Borussia Dortmund have gone back to basics with their new kit and we’re all for it

Borussia Dortmund are going to be an entirely different club come August.

Jurgen Klopp has just one game left in him in charge of BVB, star players like Marco Reus, Ilkay Gundogan and Mats Hummels are being targeted by a litany of clubs and their shocking 2014/15 home jersey has been gotten rid of.

It’s fair to say that we were a little reticent when, at this stage last year, Borussia Dortmund unveiled their 2014/15 kit with this bizarre asymmetrical home shirt that featured diagonal black blocks on one side of the jersey.

And we failed to warm to it over the last 12 months to the point where we’re blaming their lacklustre season on the cursed shirt (not really but it’s a thought).

But you must respect the fact that the club have seen the error of their ways and have opted to revert to the old-school with the home shirt for the upcoming season.

The new top is a lot less in-your-face, with tasteful pinstripes making it much easier on the eye.

You’ve won us back Dortmund.
