We’ve all made the mistake of referring to someone we’ve just met by the wrong name. The Sun dodged that risk by simply refusing to name Charlie Austin.
In their story about a pub brawl over Christmas drinks, the tabloid used a picture of Rio Ferdinand, Eduardo Vargas and Charlie Austin but failed to recognise QPR’s top scorer, referring to him as an “unnamed man.”

They’ve since apologised for the mistake but that won’t do the confidence of Austin any good.
Apologies to @chazaustin9 for the ‘unnamed man’ caption in today’s paper… pic.twitter.com/H5wjI58xrp
