They’ve misspelled sadness.
Because although no-one would dispute Steven Gerrard was a great player, and could be a great signing for LA, “Greatness” isn’t exactly the first thing one would think of when looking at this billboard commissioned by the MLS franchise featuring their latest signing.
In fact, Gerrard looks as though he’s being taken hostage and is about to appeal for his safe return.

LA Galaxy are clearly attempting to hype Gerrard’s arrival for their American audience, but they just need Gerrard to pull his weight and maybe crack a smile, maybe ‘soccer’ could crack the states.
Cheer up Stevie. We know you must miss Liverpool, but the weather’s great in California, plus you’ll be a world beater and get to play with Robbie Keane again.
