The pitchside stewards at St Mary’s brought their a-game this afternoon.
They were likely worried about the safety of former Saints players Dejan Lovren, Adam Lallana and Rickie Lambert as the home crowd gave them stick from the opening whistle.
But it was Raheem Sterling who was singled out for a confrontation by one fan who takes football a little too seriously after the pacy Liverpool forward scored his side’s second.
The overexcited supporter made it about six inches from his seat before being met with this unwelcoming steward.
But the Liverpool players celebrated as if the wrestling match wasn’t playing out in front of their very eyes.
PROS!
Not happy with these fellas blocking my view of Raheem #Sterling‘s celebration. Grrr. #LFC pic.twitter.com/izGd0QvO3v
