No matter what he goes on to achieve in the remainder of his football career, Peter Odemwingie will be remembered by most for his failed deadline day dash to QPR for a move that never happened.
His former club West Brom certainly haven’t forgotten it and even gently poked fun at him for it through their Twitter account in the run in to Christmas.
As we all know, Odemwingie’s move to QPR never materialised despite the Nigerian international appearing very confident that it would, and he now finds himself at Stoke, where playing time has been limited.Once again, it seemed that Odemwingie was on the brink of a deadline day move. Marseille (probably too far to drive from Stoke in one day) were said to be interested in him.
However, according to Sky Sports News, a bid from the French club has now been rejected.
