This is potentially bad news for the incumbent managers in Manchester.
Pep Guardiola has already decided which team he will manage next season, according to Karl Heinz Rummenige.
The Bayern Munich manager announced this week that he will leave the Bundesliga champions at the end of the current season, and has been heavily linked with taking a high profile job in the Premier League.
Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United have all been linked with Guardiola in the past, and don’t be surprised if the Catalan is in-charge at one of those clubs next season.
City, who are ran by former Barcelona directors Txiki Begiristain and Ferran Soriano, seem the most likely option.
However, comments from Bayern CEO Rummenige suggest Guardiola has already selected his club for next season.“I think I know where he is going,” Rummenigge told German media outlet Bild.
“But I want to leave the announcement to him or his new employer.”
The former German international also revealed how he learned of Guardiola’s decision to leave the club.
“At the Christmas party two weeks ago he came to me, he told me that he was looking for a new challenge and almost apologised. It was clearly difficult for him, I’m not disappointed in him.”
