Patrick Kluivert’s dream 5-a-side is very much from the Kevin Keegan school of football

There's be a fair amount of goal hanging with these lads

Patrick McCarry

Sorry Edwin, maybe next time.

Patrick Kluivert has picked his dream 5-a-side team and stacked it with attacking talent.

The former Ajax, AC Milan, Barcelona and Netherlands striker sat down recently for a Champions League Q&A on Twitter.

Among the insights offered, in 140 characters or less, were his love of Louis van Gaal [the coach that gave him his big break], respect for Marcel Desailly’s defence, and his description of Jose Mourinho as a ‘strong character’ during their time together at Barcelona.

When it came to the Dutchman’s best 5-a-side team, he neglected to include a single goalkeeper, defender or holding midfelder.

There’s no sign of Edwin van der Sar or Jaap Stam to shore things up at the back.

We can only assume he plans to change keeper after every goal conceded. Arjen Robben’s definitely going to let one in deliberately just to get back outfield.
