Down with this sort of thing.
Obviously UEFA don’t appreciate the value of a real impact.
Well, in case they didn’t know, it looks a little something like this.
Okay, Mathieu Flamini wasn’t the reason Arsenal lost to Barcelona on Tuesday but he – along with Mertesacker too of course – was the reason the tie was put beyond reasonable doubt.
Flamini and Mertesacker in the same box at the same time?
You're asking for trouble.https://t.co/w7QUGeh3xJ

But neither of the Arsenal duo were acknowledged in UEFA’s team of the week over the most recent bout of Champions League second round clashes.
Lionel Messi and Andrés Iniesta deservedly took their places in the pick of the bunch but so too did Javier Mascherano who didn’t do much other than let Olivier Giroud past him only to square the ball instead of shooting and allowing the French man to tower over him for an effort denied only by the brilliance of Ter Stegen.
David Silva and Sergio Aguero were recognised for their dominance on Wednesday. It’s a pretty decent team in fairness.
