A Newcastle fan has probably had the loneliest drive ever home from a football ground this afternoon after he arrived to Turf Moor for the Magpies clash with Burnley three days too early.
Alan Pardew’s side are playing Burnley on Tuesday and actually lost 1-0 to West ham in London today while the home side eeked out a 1-1 draw with Aston-Villa.
Football reporter Simon Hughes spotted the unfortunate supporter before kick off:
At Turf Moor where a Newcastle supporter with shirt and scarf has parked beside me. I hope he knows his team plays here on Tuesday.
