Live TV.
Only for the bravest.
It must be a pain in a television reporter’s backside, being told that you’re going live.
So many times, something goes wrong. It might never be disastrous or irreparable but it takes a bit of getting out of and it pops up when you’re not ready for it – because it’s live.
It comes in many forms.
Nick Collins fell off a ladder outside Wembley.
Jim White summed it up perfectly.
Some reporters forget that they’re live.

Kyle Lafferty could go after your shoes.

Still beats Deadline Day on the streets.
Louis van Gaal could go after your hair.

Other times, you might just have to put up with Roy Keane live on air.
Adrian Chiles, moody Keane, an interrupted game of football: the perfect storm. Or downpour.
The worst is going live with Thierry Henry who has decided he’s too cool to finish his sentences.

Now Natalie Sawyer is the latest victim.
The Sky Sports reporter is at England’s training base all day in St. George’s Park and everything was going alright.

Until those sprinklers in the distance began to activate further up the pitch.
Fortunately for her, the feed cut before the drenching occurred.

Unfortunately for her, she still got soaked.
