More heartache for fantasy football players as extent of Dimitri Payet’s injury revealed

No Payet, no party

Oh fantasy football Gods, why must you taunt us?

An wayward middle finger will likely see Jamie Vardy suspended for a game or two which would have led to the vast majority of free transfers during the international break.

But now we’ve got another issue as it’s been revealed that Dimitri Payet, the topscoring midfielder after Riyad Mahrez, has been ruled out for three months.

The West Ham playmaker has been a revelation for fantasy football players this season, having accrued a total of 74 points before being injured in a challenge from Everton’s James McCarthy on Saturday.

But now all 35% of us who have selected Payet will have to look for a replacement for the Anderson lookalike who, in no way, resembles the Brazilian on the pitch which is the highest compliment we could possibly pay him.
