This would shake up the whole Premier League.
Liverpool fans don’t want to see Mo Salah leaving, especially on his current form, but if he were to leave, it could open the door for a megastar.
Last summer Liverpool had to deal with the constant rumbling of the rumour mill, with Saudi Arabia offering crazy amounts of money for the star striker, but Jurgen Klopp was adamant that they wouldn’t sell.
The bids came in very late in the window so it made no sense for the Anfield faithful to sell their best striker because they wouldn’t even have time to splash the cash for a replacement.
However, the January window is just around the corner, and everyone knows that those bids will coming in again, but with the benefit of anticipation this time, Liverpool could potentially strike a deal in the hope that they sign a megastar to replace him.
Mo Salah departure could make way for megastar addition to Liverpool squad.
According to TeamTalk, Kylian Mbappe is on Klopp’s radar, and there has been flirtations between the Frenchman and Liverpool in the past, so it could be a possibility.
Without the financial backing of a Man City or Chelsea though, the only way they would secure the 2018 World Cup winner is by cashing in on their prize asset and current top scorer Salah.
Many feel that because he is now 31, the time is perfect to sell and get as much money as possible, but going by the number of goals and assists that he is still racking up, he shows no sign of slowing down, and could be like Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi, in the sense that because he looks after himself so well, and is so intelligent on the field, he could be a superstar well into his 30s.
Jonathan Walters speaks facts about Manchester United’s goalkeeper situation.
If David de Gea put in that performance tonight he would be getting it from all angles.
I’m sorry but Onana isn’t good enough for Man Utd and if I were them I would be getting in touch with Ramsdale’s agent asap.— Jonathan Walters (@JonWalters19) November 29, 2023
Former Ireland striker Jonathan Walters took to ‘X’ formerly known as Twitter, to share a hard cold fact with the footballing world after Man United’s goalkeeper Andre Onana, cost his side another victory with some horrific goalkeeping against Galatasary.
The ex Premier League forward said: If David de Gea put in that performance tonight he would be getting it from all angles.”
The former United shot stopper was often the player that was blamed for a lot of his team’s defeats, so Walters is spot on in the sense that there needs to be consistency when it comes to assessing his replacement.
Walters also had a very interesting idea that could really shake things up down at the Emirates.
“I’m sorry but Onana isn’t good enough for Man Utd and if I were them I would be getting in touch with Ramsdale’s agent asap.”
Aaron Ramsdale is of course out of favour at Arsenal, but was the man in goal whenever the London side enjoyed their best PL season in over a decade last year, running Man City close to the league title.
Everton seriously considering young Irish winger playing in championship.
Kasey McAteer is currently playing for Leicester City in the championship and playing a crucial role in their hunt to return to the Premier League.
The 22-year-old is believed to commit himself to the Ireland International team, and now with PL teams knocking on the door for him, it can only be good news for the Irish side.
Everton lost 3-0 to Man United last week, and are still dealing with the 10 point deduction that the league slapped them with, so Sean Dacha is on the hunt for quality players who won’t break the bank and it looks like McAteer fits the bill.
