Worrying for Liverpool fans.

Mohamed Salah has spoken out on his contract situation at Liverpool and has said he is “disappointed” by the lack of progress about renewing his deal.

The ‘Egyptian King’ once again shone for Liverpool on Sunday against Southampton as he scored two goals to secure his side the 3-2 win and take all three points back to the north.

However, since the start of the season, one of the biggest questions on fans’ lips has been whether Salah will be offered a contract extension at Liverpool.

So far the club have made little progress on this front and now, the forward has spoken out on the situation.

“We are almost in December and I haven’t received any offers yet to stay in the club. I’m probably more out than in,” Salah told a reporter.

“You know I have been in the club for many years. There is no club like this. But in the end, it is not in my hands. As I said, it is December and I haven’t received anything yet about my future.

“I love the fans. The fans love me. In the end, it is not in my hands or the fans’ hands,” he added.

Asked if he was disappointed about the lack of progress, Salah said:

“Of course, yeah. I’m not going to retire soon so I’m just playing, focusing on the season and I’m trying to win the Premier League and hopefully the Champions League as well. I’m disappointed but we will see.

“I am very professional. Everybody can see my work ethic. I’m just trying to enjoy my football and I will play at the top level as long as possible.”

Salah is Liverpool’s third-highest goal scorer of all time with 223 goals.
