A new football season is here. Rejoice.
And with that comes the promise of more furious outbursts from Roy Keane at the general state of Manchester United these days.
Keane’s punditry on Sky Sports these past couple of years have provided some truly unforgettable moments and also seen him form an unbreakable bond with Micah Richards.
Speaking to JOE ahead of the new season, the former Manchester City defender said that, despite his fearsome reputation, Keane is, in actual fact, not a bit like many might seem to think when away from the cameras.
“When I tell people this they don’t believe me, but he’s the funniest, most humble, sweetest person that I’ve worked with.
“And then, as soon as he gets on air… You need him when Man United are playing.”

He added: “I just love him. I love everything about him.”
The new Premier League season begins on Friday night, when Arsenal visit Crystal Palace in the opening fixture of the top flight calendar.
Keane and Richards closed last season at The Etihad, where Keane was invited on a night out by Jack Grealish following City’s title triumph.
