Bad timing.
Predictions make a fool of us all, but this was still poor timing from David Moyes. If we were to be cruel, we’d say it was the worst prediction since Alex Ferguson thought Moyes would be a suitable replacement for him at Old Trafford.
The former Everton, Manchester United and Real Sociedad manager was on Sky Sports coverage of Aston Villa v Arsenal this afternoon, and had his say on Mesut Ozil.
The German playmaker has been the Gunners’ player of the season so far, and, before today’s game, had 12 assists in 13 games.
However, according to Moyes, “I think jury’s still out on him at bit”.
Guess what happened next?
Yep, Mesut Ozil, a player so good at passing he could probably pass Abou Diaby’s medical, set up Aaron Ramsey for Arsenal’s second goal.
Twitter wasn’t kind to Moysey.

No wonder David Moyes keeps getting sacked if he doesn’t rate a player like Mesut Özil

'The jury's out on Ozil' – David 'can't hold down a job' Moyes an hour ago.
Well the verdict's in: GENIUS. #afc— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) December 13, 2015
