Marouane Fellaini delivers the understatement of the season so far

True enough

After Louis van Gaal urged frustrated fans not to compare the current Manchester United squad with those of years gone by, Marouane Fellaini has delivered the understatement of the year.

Ahead of their visit to Bournemouth Fellaini confessed that things haven’t been great to watch from his team this season.

“We could be more exciting,” he admitted.

“We are a big club, we want to win trophies and the fans want to see players score goals,” the former Everton player is quoted as saying by The Sun.

“The expectation is high, we are a big team and supporters want to see goals and good games.”

Fellaini will be hoping that his injury-hit United team can find a way of outscoring Bournemouth and try and keep in the title race.
