There should have been at least one more hoop to jump through.
Liverpool have opened public voting on their official website ahead of their end-of-season awards. The club will host a swish get-together on May 19 and have asked for supporters to vote for their player and young player of the year.
All you have to do is provide your email address and vote.
The public, in the form of rival fans, have started social media campaigns to get Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli the coveted Player of the Year accolade. While they are at it, another campaign #VoteMarkovic has sprung up so Lazar Markovic may be awarded the young player going.

If previous Arsenal online antics are anything to go by, I fully expect Balotelli to be our next Prime Minister come May 7th. #VoteBalotelli

This Twitter user, meanwhile, has far too much time on his/her hands

The only sensible course of action left for Liverpool fans is to set up a raft of new email addresses and get voting.
