The club have been linked with him before.
Manchester United could sign Arturo Vidal from Bayern Munich in the summer, according to German newspaper Bild.
Bayern have already agreed a deal to sign Leon Goretzka from Schalke in the summer whose arrival could see Vidal depart from the Allianz Arena.
Vidal, 30, is reportedly a target for Manchester United, who are likely to sell Marouane Fellaini at the end of this season and will also lose Michael Carrick, who is retiring.
If United were to sign Vidal, they would have to stump up a fee in the region of £37m for the 30-year-old. Given his age, the fee seems steep but the midfielder has proven his quality both at Juventus and Bayern and would no doubt be a great addition to United’s squad. United aren’t exactly short of funds either.
The Chilean is a complete midfielder – he would be able to both support Nemanja Matić defensively and Paul Pogba in attack.
United have also been linked with Napoli midfielder Jorginho, whose agents were reportedly meeting United officials in Manchester this week.
Either midfielder would be a welcome addition to United who are too reliant on Pogba. What seems certain is that they will be chasing a central midfielder in the summer.
