Just over a year ago, Luke Shaw snapped his leg in two in a game against PSV Eindhoven. Hardly the kind of thing you can just run off.
Now back from the injury, Shaw has failed to hold down a regular starting place for Manchester United under Jose Mourinho.
Having missed the weekend’s win at Swansea, much has been made of Mourinho’s post-match comments which appeared to be a swipe at the likes of Shaw and Chris Smalling.
“There is a difference between the brave, who want to play at any cost, and the ones for whom a little pain can make a difference,” Mourinho had said.

“If I were to speak with the many great football people of this team, they will say they played many times without being 100%.
“We have players on the pitch with problems. In every sport, how many times do you play and you’re not 100 percent?”
With Tuesday morning’s papers suggesting Shaw’s United future is pretty bleak, it seems a lot of United supporters commenting on the issue are backing their new manager – implying that Shaw needs buck his ideas up if he’s to fulfil his potential at the club.

Just so boring to read these predictable stories, instead of crying Shaw should use the criticism as motivation.
