Manchester United fans are getting very excited by Marouane Fellaini’s trip to Italy

Cheers for the crucial goals but you can hit the road this summer.

Marouane Fellaini enjoyed a typical Saturday in his three-season career at Manchester United. He was selected to play in midfield, aggrieving half of his own supporters, and hustled and bustled for the cause.

The Belgian looked to have been a matchwinner for United after his first half goal but a late equaliser made Anthony Martial the hero. He also elbowed just about every Everton player that moved.

No matter how many feathers Fellaini ruffles, or how many goals he bundles in, he will never be accepted as a ‘United’ player.

To that end, United fans have taken to social media to celebrate after Fellaini was pictured in attendance at Monday afternoon’s Serie A game between Roma and Napoli.

Fellaini had been linked to Roma in the last two transfer windows but he remained in Manchester. The fact that he happened to be at the game with Luciano D’Onofrio, his agent, has sparked talk of a summer move to the Eternal City.

It would cost Roma about €15m to secure the midfielder’s services. The following tweets sum up the general mood out there.
