Manchester United’s next away kit looks to have been inspired by an iconic early 90s design

Not bad...

Admit it. You lot bloody love a bit of new kit speculation, don’t you?

If you didn’t, you probably wouldn’t be here reading this.

Assuming you are reading this and that you haven’t just scrolled down to look at the pictures, let us tell you that if ‘leaked’ kits are your thing, this is very much the time of year for you.

With some football fans starting to think more about next season than the final weeks of this one, we’ve seen a flurry of rumoured new kits for some of the Premier League big guns sweep across social media in the last couple of weeks.

Manchester United have featured heavily. We’ve already seen what’s believed to be their home shirt for next season, as well as a third kit which, if it proves to be correct, will see the club play in grey for the first time since that afternoon at The Dell in 1996.

Now, it seems that good old Footy Headlines – a website with its finger firmly on the pulse when it comes to pictures of leaked football kits – have shown us a glimpse of United’s away kit for next season.

According to them, United’s away kit for next season will be predominantly black, with the pattern used on its shirt a nod to the club’s iconic away strip from the early 90s, during adidas’ first stint as their kit supplier.

That was a brave, popular effort.

Here, have a look at the new rig-out…

The shorts are also expected to be black, with three white adidas stripes running down their sides.
