Manchester City break all-time Premier League record against Swansea

Matthew Gault

One of the greatest teams the Premier League has seen.

Manchester City continued their frighteningly dominant form on Wednesday night with a routine 4-0 win at Swansea City. David Silva scored twice, Kevin De Bruyne grabbed one and Sergio Aguero rounded the victory off with five minutes to go as Pep Guardiola’s side kicked on from their weekend win over Manchester United with another three points.

With United beating Bournemouth, it maintains City’s 11-point advantage at the Premier League summit. More significantly, though, it was their 15th league win in a row. It’s a new record and serves as yet another ringing endorsement of the level they are currently operating at.

The question, is as it has been for the last number of weeks, who can stop them? The neutral will hope that Tottenham give it a good crack on Saturday when they travel to the Etihad Stadium to take on the leaders.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side were unbeaten against City in the two league games between the teams last season, so it will be interesting to see if they can take more points off Guardiola’s men.
