Goretzka could be on the move from Bayern this summer.
Bayern Munich would be prepared to sell Leon Goretzka to Manchester United, according to reports in Germany.
The German midfielder has been a key player for the Bundesliga champions over the last few years, but Bayern would part ways if they received a suitable offer.
Man United are said to be interested in the 28-year-old, who is under contract until 2026, but may need to offload players first before any new incoming signings are made.
Bayern set price for Man United target Goretzka.
According to Sky Germany, Bayern Munich are prepared to sell Goretzka for between €40m and €50m
The Germany midfielder, who joined Bayern from Schalke in 2018, has been a regular for the Bavarian side, but his form dipped slightly last season.
Thomas Tuchel, the team's coach, wanted to sign Declan Rice to bolster Bayern's midfield, but the England star signed for Arsenal instead for £105m.
Tuchel would reportedly be prepared to let Goretzka leave the club this summer as he aims to overhaul the squad.
The midfielder, who has scored 34 goals in 179 appearances for Bayern, is said to be happy at the club but could be open to a move if his playing time was to be reduced.
Man United's transfer business.
Man United are reportedly interested and monitoring the player's situation. According to Sky Germany, the Red Devils remain interested in signing a box-to-box midfielder.
The Red Devils' transfer business may depend on selling players. The club had a reported €100m transfer budget at the start of the summer, and most of that has been spent on Mason Mount and Andre Onana.
Scott McTominay, Harry Maguire and Fred are among the players in Erik Ten Hag's squad who could still be sold before the window closes.
If United were to raise funds through sales, they may be able to return to the market for new signings, including Goretzka.
Marcel Sabitzer, Goretzka's Bayern teammate, spent the second half of last season on loan with the Red Devils, but the club opted against signing him on a permanent basis.
