Manchester United fans were reminded of their early Champions League exit on Monday morning.
As their rivals were drawn against European giants like Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain, the Red Devils were pitted against Danish side FCÂ Midtjylland in the Europa League.
Unsurprisingly, United fans weren’t too happy with having to wait until the second draw to hear their name called.

"Midtjylland" basically means "in the middle of nowhere". How fitting for #MUFC https://t.co/DKQ2DbGogL

While some bemoaned the fact they were playing a side as small as Midtjylland, there were some who wished they had drawn a different European minnow.
LVG look at what you have caused we could have been Drawn vs Gent.. Automatically Quarter finals.

But no everybody was so confident that Louis van Gaal’s men would get past the plucky Belgians.
Wolfsburg drew Gent. I'm not confident we would have beaten Gent anyway, they're probably better than Bournemouth.

While even the Danes might prove too much.
