Incredibly, Victor Valdes is still officially a Manchester United player.
Despite a high-profile falling out with manager Louis van Gaal over the summer, the former Barcelona goalkeeper remains at Old Trafford where he is said to be training alone and away from the rest of the first team squad.
With Valdes keen to (finally) leave United after a somewhat pointless spell at the club, it now seems possible that the goalkeeper could move to a rival Premier League club.
His representative, Gines Carvajal told Spanish radio station 4g that staying in England would be ideal for his client.
“We will try to turn around the situation [in the January transfer window]. It is logical and is what he wants.”
Carvajal didn’t entirely rule out a move abroad and is expected that United will be more willing to sell the goalkeeper to a club that they will not face in domestic competition.
