The successor has reportedly been identified.

Liverpool are ‘ready to bid’ for a long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah, according to sources.

Salah, a Reds legend, is in the final year of his contract at Anfield. Should he leave Liverpool, he will undoubtedly be of interest to many suitors.

He has long been linked with a potential move to the Saudi Pro League, a move in which he would become the ‘face of the league’.

And if he does leave, Liverpool have identified their replacement as Karim Adeyemi, according to German outlet BILD.

The Reds are reportedly ready to bid €50m in order to secure the services of the Borussia Dortmund winger.

On Tuesday night, the German winger made headlines for his first-half hat-trick of Celtic in a rampant 7-1 victory.

The 22-year-old is seen as a player with huge potential, having been integral to Dortmund’s run to the Champions League final last season.

So far this season domestically, Adeyemi has been in excellent form too.

In five games, he has already registered two goals and provided three assists.
