With the original line-ups too.

In 2007, Milan gained Champions League revenge for their 2005 capitulation to Liverpool in the Turkish port town of Istanbul. Leading 3-0 at half-time, the Reds roared back to level the tie and clinch their fifth European Cup on penalties.

With the 10-year anniversary of that stunning comeback nearing, the two sides are reportedly in talks to arrange an exhibition match.

Both sides will be occupied with league duties near the end of the season an early runner of assembling the original teams has been suggested. The game, if it gets the go-ahead, would be in April. It is not yet clear whether Anfield or the Ataturk Stadium, in Istanbul, would host the friendly.

The only players, from either side, still going are Christian Abbiati [Milan but currently on loan] and Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard.
