Gary Neville, on co-commentary duty with Sky Sports for the game, highlighted how the 23-year-old appeared to ease out of a challenge with a Burnley player shortly after the away side had taken the lead.

"He ducked out of that," Neville remarked. "He bottled it. Just what you want from your holding midfielder; no wonder they concede goals"
