Premier League champions Liverpool have endured a torrid few weeks, that have seen them collapse out of the title race and fall to ninth in the table, some ten points off the summit.
After a victory over West Ham at the end of November looked to have put them back on the path to resurrecting their season, they have since endured successive draws to two of the newly-promoted Premier League sides.

The most recent of these was a 3-3 result away to Leeds on Saturday, where the Reds surrendered a two goal second-half lead.
Despite the disappointing defeat, the latest round of pressure on Arne Slot has come about as a result of events after full-time, when Liverpool legend Mo Salah spoke to members of the press.
Salah has been dropped to the bench for the last three matches, and did not appear for a single minute of the Reds' clash with Leeds.
It was clear from his comments that Salah felt disrespected by Slot's team selection.
The Egypt star said he could not believe "that I’m sitting on the bench for 90 minutes," adding that it was "the third time on the bench, I think for the first time in my career."
He said: "I’m very, very disappointed, to be fair. I have done so much for this club down the years and especially last season. Now I’m sitting on the bench and I don’t know why.
“It seems like the club has thrown me under the bus. That is how I am feeling. I think it is very clear that someone wanted me to get all of the blame. The club made me a lot of promises in the summer and so far I am in the bench for three games, so I can’t say they keep the promise.”
Mo Salah has scored 250 goals for Liverpool since signing in 2017, and has helped his club win two Premier League titles and a Champions League crown.
Despite Salah's comments aimed towards Liverpool manager Arne Slot, the Premier League champions still plan on supporting their manager according to the journalist Ben Jacobs.
At current, it seems more likely that Salah may be excluded from the Reds' squad for their upcoming clash with Inter Milan in midweek.
A final decision on this is expected later today.
